I personally love the Cumberland Plateau for class III paddling. Chattanooga would give good access to the plateau as well other Tn areas and N Alabama, N ga and W NC. There is great paddling in al these places. Now of course we are in a drought but still the place to be.

Louie, Randy Pew did a lot of the wood work for Dagger. Since Merrimack Canoes weren't selling to well they kept busy working for Dagger

I bought a 16' fiberglass Mohawk and paddled the Hiwassee, Clear Creek( above Lilly) and middle Tellico. I traded up for a 16' mohawk abe boat and thought mysel...

I'm not sure about your toes, but there are a lot of openboaters in the Huntsville Canoe Club and in the Birmingham Canoe Club
