C1 gives you more leverage, therefore it would be easier to paddle a boat with a higher weight range. If your at the top of the weight range, try sitting in the kayak in the water and look at the waterline, if it looks a little small for you it will be even easier to perl the bow with the extra leve...

I got to Paul Mason's Taureau a couple weeks ago on a OC whitewater instructors clinic.

I liked it alot!! It was alot faster and more stable then i thought it was going to be. I paddled it on The madawaska at the MKC "chalet" rapids section and it was a blast.

Raising your seat would release some pressure on your knees and ankles, but will make the boat tippier... something to play around with... Since it was your first time...sounds like your body just isn't used to being in that position.... Bring the boat into the family room and watch tv sitting in yo...
