FS-Wavesport Z C-1, ready to for $250 w/ a skirt!
My passionate affair with the Z is over. I like the boat but need the money for other boating endeavors. It's outfitted simply but effectively with a lap belt. The Z is a longer, slicey ended boat that has tremendous speed. Pierces through eddy lines w/out effort. Very fast to get up to speed. It su...

Straps Vs. Bulkhead in my Everest
I too, have an Everest and I LOVE the boat. It's pretty fast, forgiving and yet responsive enough to snap and turn any which way I choose....even at the least second. Easy to roll too. I have, however, had problems with my straps. I have yet to come across a strap system (besides a lap-belt) that do...

Gumpy and I already used Wayne's neat little "flick" trick for getting the rope back to the person with the bag. Do a 1-2-3 count and hop the rope up and down like you're playing jump-rope. On three, the person at the end releases and the person with the bag gives a wrist-flick and that baby comes s...

good stuff
I've weighed the advice and it's appreciated. I'm going to put some tiny toe blocks in...something I can push off against before heading into a boof or move where being glued in is necessary. Thanks for the responses...I never took escape into consideration and am glad I posted on here. The ideas I ...

foot pegs in a bulkhead outfitted C-1?
I've come to the conclusion that my outfitting is inadequate for the way I boat. I find that I'm always fiddling with straps and re-tightening them before big boofs and after rolls. I'm done with straps in my boats...open and closed. I'm gluing a bulkhead in next weekend and was wondering if anyone ...

Hmmmm....
At first I didn't give the Ion much credit...I had my sights on an Option and never really considered it's little cousin. But I gotta say that after watching some vids of Mark and Jeremy, I like how the Ion seems to handle the water. It does rise sharply up and over stuff I wouldn't expect it too. T...

Attitude
I see it all the time on the water. I'm guilty of having a case of it. It's the "I got this" attitude. The shrugging off of advice or the sticking to "my" way of paddling instead of trying something that is probably better but seems different. It can be hard for people new to the sport to have faith...

The Ol' ME
The ME was the boat the go me started in WW canoeing. Eddy McGnarlz too! I bought it from a lady who swore it was for whitewater. I kind of dismissed that idea until I got out on some moving water and then things got interesting. I outfitted it and started learning how to paddle WW. Very special boa...

That last post was a great point. What type of water will you be paddling the most? I know NH and the New England area in general, have a ton of creeks...but the geology makes them steep with sharp, boat-beating rocks. Maybe thinking what you want out of the boat and what material you want the boat ...

Former Nitro owner's perspective
You've echoed my concerns about the Nitro. Too slow...missing moves I know I could have hit in another boat. Frankly it was becoming a liability to my boating and the reason I started C-1'ing. My advice...go for the Prelude. Sure there will be a learning curve but what you gain from having a more ni...

Good Call
I like the way you think. I'll lead my buddy down the Lower Sunday and then do the Upper on Monday. Sorry, Savage, my cold, swift friend....maybe next time.
