Royalex or R-84

... that it's not a more popular boat (although it is big compared to the favored boats today) since it paddles so well. Of course after I get my Delirious all outfitted and out playing in it next year, I might be hooked on C-boats 8) Mikey B

Boat selection

... wider, otherwise there are a bunch of boats that would work fine on the for sale forum at the moment - the X, as Will suggested and a LUV. Also a Delirious, a Witch and an Ultrafuge, but those will be twitchier - they're more full on playboats. It also really depends on how big she is. The Ultrafuge ...

... Pyranha Prelude, a Old Town Discovery Scout and a Mad River Rampage, although that one is barely floating. I also have C1, a Dagger Atom, a Prijon Delirious and a Robson Finkenmeister. -Would I race if there was a Playboat class? Not sure. My favorite among the OC is definitely the prelude, but ...

... without a decent boat is useless anyway. If this does not work, then get a few blocks of minicell foam and make your own outfitting. The Delirious C1 I bought a few weeks ago has a homemade saddle and bulkhead outfitting (sorry, no digital camera, so I can't send you pics of it) and I ...

Delirious saddle position

Mike, I just went outside to check out the position of the saddle in my Delirious. It is 7 inches from the rear cockpit rim to the edge of the backsupport of my saddle, the boat was like this when I bought it. Some of my paddling buddies tellme that my trim ...

How far forward in my Delerious?

I'm new to the realm of C-Boating, but looking for new challenges and fun, I picked up a Delirious to convert. I went to the local lake with my wife to see where to place myself for best trim. I velcroed in a temporary saddle to try and get an idea. What felt pretty ...

... of the weekend: it's not particularly bright to tackle a big water run like the main channel of the Ottawa as first real river in your new slicy Delirious C1, if all you have done before in it was play in the local playspot and if your other boats are an Atom and a Prelude, but it certainly provides ...

some answers...

... Maybe a OC 1 that looks like a canoebut does have a real planing hull would be nice... 4) Nothing, I paddle both (prelude / rampage OC and Atom / Delirious C1). The C1 is definitely better for playing in holes, as there is no bailing and hyou can do vertical moves much easier. I prefer the OC ...

glad you are ok!

Matt, glad to hear you are o.k! I just bought a C1 (Delirious, love that boat!) and it is equipped with a lap belt. I haven't used it yet, as I don't feel comfy enough yet with the thought of a wet exit in strong current, although I have practiced ...

Delirious

... So, I think it's an awesome boat, but it'll probably be a major handful initially both due to your weight and the change from an Atom to the Delirious. Matt

delirious

Thanks Kirill and Aric for your input, since I have only heard good things about this boat, I'll drive down to Oakville and pick it up this week. Will probably be some learning curve for me coming from an Atom!
