Re: Break down canoe paddle
if I didn't have the ab edge breakdowns I'd be sweet on the select 3 piece. I use a 56" inch stick and for me I like the flex in the Edges....some might think cheap flexible plastic but I much prefer to give up a small bit of power so I go easy on my joints.

Re: Break down canoe paddle
Sorry I've never actually bought an Aqua-Bound Paddle. They provide me with a few paddles a year for exposure and to now teach canoeing in turn for some good photography/postings of their wares. I did ask them who has their product online and they provided me with: Rutabaga: http://www.rutabaga.com/...

Re: Break down canoe paddle
yeah waldens ridge is a good place to pick up canoe gear. I'd imagine the NOC could help you too. I saw Edges there in November. Some bright tape on the black shaft and paddle blade are good if you tend to swim at all. I put my 3 piece in a mesh bag and beener it to a loop of cord though the rear of...

Re: Break down canoe paddle
I got a new 3 piece breakdown this week from AB so yes they are definately still available in 2 or 3 pieces. I've run some very substantial falls/rapids/rivers on a 3 piece Edge. it works in all my canoes even my Ion. I actually have several breakdown Edges. I paddle 100% of the time on some trips w...

after the Gnarlz canoe got rebuilt she took runs on the green narrows and oceana...we all look forward to that new tandem being the second to descend Gorilla & Sunshine on the Green.

Re: Winter in the Grand Canyon
Take an nrs hand pump. For sure. You will be filling up the ledge. I blew out 2 GAIA air bags. I had backups under the inflated ones teathered in. I blew up my bow really quick while people ran rapids in turn. If I run it a Fourth time I will have a full electric pump and a trickle charge going cons...

Re: Winter in the Grand Canyon
If using the raft and canoe mix it was really nice doing a 12 hr night float from sepparation down through that flat area to wake up a few mikes above pearce.(aprox 40 miles). In 2009 I paddled down past pearce to mile 298 to take out (south cove). I enjoyed that area quite a bit but aside from a cr...

Aaron @ Ralston, Pa.
Very worthy run but certainly not too crazy at usual levels.

Re: KNeals / NBoP / CBoats Armada... whatever you call it...
Its the Cheat or nothing man! I'd like to do the canyon one day and then the narrows the next....the castleman is an easier run that I've been meaning to get on too. Outside chance I'd stick to the narrows 2+ (walk the III) if Katelyn comes.
