I used one in my Delirious and I currently have one in Prelude, both with VW Beetle style buckles (same as aircraft style, only a bit heavier. In all my C1-s (FM, Sith, Wheelboy) I currently use thigh straps, but I am thinkling of ...

The Mohawk strap is definitely a thigh restraint. When I was outfitting my Delirious, I played around with a lap belt. I mounted it much farther back than a thigh strap would be. I used an aircraft style belt and it held my butt planted to the saddle, but it's ...

Mike, You can order VW Beetle style buckles (that's what I use in the Prelude and Delirious) from CIP, they sell spare parts for vintage VW Beetles. They are the same design as the aircraft buckles, but made in plated steel instead of aluminum and thus heavier. http://www2.cip1.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=C16%2D111%2D704RD ...

... steel, while the qairplane ones are aluminum. I never used airplane belts, but I use a VW belt in my Prelude, and used to have the same belt in my Delirious. One modification I made to help find the release while getting really worked in big hole that one should probably have avoided in the first ...

... 56 gallons of volume, while my Shaggy Sith (1cm cut on hull & Decks) feels volumewise (ease of throwing down and such) similar to the Prijon Delirious but definitely more than a XXX (however much more stable and balanced than both of them 8) ), so I guess it's volume is probably somewhere ...

I used cam buckles initially in my Delirious and after a close call because of a jammed and folded over strap (yes, it was very short) I threw it out and replaced it with a VW beetle style lap belt, which has a very similar release mechanism ...

The Delirious is actually excellent for one thing, to p.o. all the kayakers in a pool session when you throw endless ends do really long and effortless stalls 8) 8) 8) ...

Delirious C1

I've never paddled one as a C1, but I did about 5 years ago as a kayak and I really liked the boat. I've seen several for sale as C1s, and nearly bought one. I think, as far as conversions go :) that it'd make an excellent C1 river running playboat for a lighter paddler. (FYI I'm 150lbs soaking wet ...

Bill, I don't mean to say that the Delirious is bad, I guess at 190 lbs I am probably just too heavy for it, what I meant to say is thast once I paddled boats that were actually as C1 like the Sith or Wheelboy, I realized how much of a compromise ...

... Janes can't hold the boat for a couple of weeks I can :D I could manage to get it back to you. It's only 4 hours between our towns. creek1r has a Delirious. I haven't tried it though. I bought a Forplay last night & should have it done in time for WOR. I plan to do a bulkhead / lapbelt set up ...

Bill, I had a Delirious before the Sith, and despite the similar look, there are huge differences. On flatwater they are very similar, the Delirious is maybe a tad easier to throw around, but once you get into current the differences ...

well, well, well...

KNeal I agree you are DELIRIOUS but I don't own one either. It was a smashed Zwo (which might be looking for a new home so let me know if anyone has an interest) that you paddled and paddled well. 8) I also agree you can never have too ...

Hey, Bill. While I may BE delirious, I do not own one--though I think PAC has one that I paddled last year on the Slip. And, umm, let's not talk about about things "shrunken" :o . Thanks for getting your trips posted. I enjoy keeping up ...

... Sith is due to the cut alone. Keep in mind that the Sith is not a squirt boat per se, but more like a slicy playboat, more along the lines of a Delirious or Forplay, although I have to say that with my cut down (don't know exactly what kind of cut it is) sith, I have no problems initiating stern ...

... I would go for an older style, long and slicey playboat - something like a Wavesport Foreplay (maybe a Score for your weight?) or an X. The Prijon Delirious also makes a good C1, but might be a bit small for you - I think they made a larger one for a couple of years though. The good thing with ...
