Re: foot pegs - or no pegs?
thanks for the info guys - i thought i was the only weird one that didn't like them or use them.
i have removed the bottom half of the foot pegs, so i can tuck my toes under them in both of my OC1's now.
take care,

good stuff dan,
add some hip pads, they are more like thigh pads and you should be real snug.

Re: foot pegs - or no pegs?
thanks for the info guys.
im thinking of even altering the foot pegs to make it easier to get my toes under them.
i will also add some mini-cell to make the setup more comfy.

foot pegs - or no pegs?
i both c1 and oc1. i started out c1 and have gotten into oc1 as of late. in my c1 i just had foot blocks and my ankles rested on them. now in both of my oc1's i have foot pegs, but either i have too large of a foot, or my foam pedestal is too high, or my arse is too fat, because i can't seem to use ...

Re: Thoughts on Esquif Blast??
im a bit more fat than valhallalongboats im 6'1" and 230 and i do love my MT canoes SS (caption) - which has 3 saddles for oc2 or oc1. i am looking for a little smaller boat that would still stay relatively fast. i have an octane 91 and i really like that boat, but feel that i am slower around the r...

Re: replace T-grip
replacing t-grips is pretty easy. i have cut off the plastic handles off of my werner paddles, because i hate them. i bought a bunch of wood bracia t-grips and altered them to fit my hand better and glued them onto the werner paddles. all you need is a t-grip, a hacksaw, and some resin. you might ha...

Re: My $.2 on MT canoes

thanks guys, funny you mention Andy bridge, borrowed his atom for my first c1 ride in the feeder canals! he's at Werner paddles I believe. I can't complain about the whitewater, but no one to canoe with! in the 10 years after grad school I have been here I have only seen c1/oc1 at slalom races - hav...

C1 Concordia????
Guys, Just wanted to say that I am so excited to be back after a 5 year hiatus. The first time I ever sat in a c1 was the concordia, I'm almost positive it was in '99 and was on the patomac. I was in grad school at the time. Anyone remember? Luckily, i have repented of my evil ways!! I have been bac...
