Re: Dagger Caption, $300
I'm in Athens, down near the WV line. Typical stomping grounds are Yough/Cheat and New/Gauley watersheds. Not sure when the next time is that I'll make it to WNC, but maybe we can figure something out.

Dagger Caption, $300 - SOLD
Dagger Caption. Outfitted with three old-school kneeling thwarts for solo/tandem use. No air bags or straps, and a couple of the D-rings could use a re-glue. This is an older boat that was part of an instructional program, but ...

Use versus Abuse
If you paddle "too much" in your great boat and it eventually wears out, but you get better, you've made a good investment. I just sold a well worn Caption to a new couple, fully rigged and bagged but worn, for $500. My advice... paddle the crap out of this boat, do everything, drive it like you ...

Re: Mad River ME Questions
The ME was built to be a solo boat, the Caption a tandem boat. Load capacities are directly relates to this. ME kakes a poor tandem.

Re: Mad River ME Questions
... I have seen many MEs but have not paddled one. From inspection, I think the ME will not be as good a load carrier and will not be as "dry" as the Caption. I have a Mad River Synergy, a 15 foot tandem/solo WW successor to the ME, but while it has been a wonderful cruiser for overnights on WW, it ...

Mad River ME Questions
Can anyone tell me how the Mad River ME compares to the Mad River Caption? How does it compare with primary stability and secondary stability? I have a Caption but have never paddled a ME before. I should add that I'm bigger (250lbs), paddle with a pitbull ...

... that they didn't have a chance to get a photo. Here is my new Achtung Baby! Those that know me from slalom nationals may remember my blue dagger caption. Well used but still in solid condition. It was the sacrificial hull for the mold. I went without a ww tandem boat most of last year. Used the ...

Re: More exciting times for canoeing!
I loved the composite Occoee's that showed up on the Blackwater River, MT at the Slalom Nationals years ago.
A really fun boat, with more acceleration and speed, on top of all the original Occoee qualities.
Production is a great idea.

Help...Racks too short
I figure I'm not the first to encounter this problem so any suggestions would be appreciated. I recently purchased a tandem rigged Dagger Caption and want to transport it on Thule racks mounted on my truck cap. The problem is because of the boats rocker, the gunnel hits the roof of the cab. ...
