I enjoy the banter but respect the mission of the site too (and I love the word filter/substitution feature). I don't think I've ever seen the admins filter an opinion.
Opinions are like a-holes but sometimes you have to separate the two.

Hahaha! C-boats translation - the server is switching sides every couple of strokes, and sometimes a wave hits when the paddle is out of the water and gets window shaded. It's roll is pretty good but not bomb proof, so sometimes they spend a little bit chasing the boat down the river so we can get b...

I hate to see the rivers dammed either, but when there's been a long dry spell, those dam releases are nice ;) I just hit a very short host unavailable - less than 15 seconds, but it was there. I'm guessing your host is running you in a virtual environment and needs to tweak some settings. If you ha...

I've not paddled either of those boats (yet), but I understand that both have some edges to them. My thoughts would be to start further down in the eddy so you can have more upstream speed already established when you cross the eddy. If you are familiar with using the edges in surfing back and forth...

I've paddled alone a bit and enjoy it, but I also enjoy company on the river sometimes. Most of the solo trips are either flat water or rivers that I know pretty well. Nothing like paddling early in the morning with mists on the water and the only sound the water dripping off your paddle between str...
