Nick, Is it fairly abrasion resistant? I'm pretty brutal when it come to rubbing my shaft against the gunwale and/or seam line. I'd say so. ...I have never built a boat, layed glass or most of the other things that were required to pull this off. I worked late into the night for 5 weeks ( I was out of town for one of them so I guess 4 weeks)... Looking at the photos I was impressed with the boat. Now I'm impressed with you. Well done!

Can't necessarily say it's my favorite, but I like this simple video of Harold Deal. It's not a fancy video with slick editing and music, but I do find my self going back and watching it from time to time.

Never tried this stuff on a paddle, but it works wonders on the shafts of ice climbing tools. It's very grippy, it doesn't absorb water, and it's tough. It only sticks to itself, so there's no residue if and when you need to replace it. Just wrap it tight, overlapping each wrap by about half the wid...
