I really admire what he did. Martikan and others were powerful opponents, but Tony just kept improving into "old age".

Well, that relieves my of having to further consider spending $1200.

I looked at the site and saw that the Medium tops out at 70 kg, or, as Google informs me, about 155 lb.

From the website, it would appear that that boat would support someone in my (190) weight range. You still have it? What is the layup? Is cockpit "standard slalom" size?

... a slalom racer, on closer inspection it is not just any paddler, but Estanguet. I asked him about it and he said sometimes he puts up a picture of Martikan. Son # 2 : "Dad, did you go paddling today?" Me : "Why yes, how did you know?" Son #2 : "I could smell it."

I thought Martikan's paddle looked short (and wide), but then again it would have to be since he is sitting on a 2" saddle (or is he flat on the bottom of the boat) - the kayakers looked taller!
