Re: rubber neck gasket, salt, skin shafe help
I've only been surfing once but that's what I used. It's gasket safe and I had no chaffing. Should be available at any drug store.

Edgey creekers: Octane 85 vs fly?
Just curious if anyone has paddled both these boats and could comment on which would be the better creeker. Is the 85 generally considered TOO edgey for class IV+ creeking?

Re: Snapdragon canoe pogies, anyone tried em?
What do you not like about the L6 pogies? TGG! The hole for the T grip is way too loose, though I made it better by sewing it tighter it's still not great. They should velcro tight like kayak pogies. On the shaft pogie all the velcro disentegrated after a handful of paddles. They're not very thick ...

Snapdragon canoe pogies, anyone tried em?
I've got a pair of LevelSix canoe pogies... they're terrible. Currently making due with some standard kayak pogies but obviously the T grip hand fit is less than ideal. ANyone tried the Snapdragon pogies? Would love to hear how they fit and how secure the T grip hand pogie is. Wish gloves worked for...

Just to clarify, you do the roll with the power face of the paddle?

Re: C1 Outfitting
Larry,
Is your concern with the aluminum backbone? I'm curious as I'm going to be converting a Bliss-stick Mystic and was going to use 3" aluminum tubing but have concerns about it being too stiff. Considering using a pair of 1.5" PVC pipe instead. Wish more boats came with seat rails like the LL's!

Re: Dragorossi Fish conversion question
In all the conversions I've tried 6" is about as high as I'd go. Lowest I've tried is 4.5", crazy stable but torture.

Re: Knee placement when converting K1 to C1
You'll end up well ahead of them. The first thing I place in the boat is the saddle. The back will likely be 6-8" off the back of the combing but some fine tuning on the water will be required to trim the boat properly. Once you have the trim correct glue in your saddle and start on the rest of the ...

Re: Choosing a boat to convert
There's more to stability than width... but having said that, in my limited experience, 25" wide is about as narrow as you want to go. I'd aim for 26" or more.Is there such a thing as "ideal" hull width for a C-1?

Re: c1 Karma outfitting???
Never tried the Jackson outfitting but it looks pretty inadequate from what I've seen. Some may disagree but I consider either a bulkhead or knee straps mandatory for good boat control. I'm also of the opinion that getting your knees out as far as possible helps with both stability and comfort. My R...

Hey folks,
I'm after a full set of kayak outfitting for a LL Remix. Anyone looking to part with theirs?

I don't recommend an anchor for whitewater applications, they get in the way when you roll.
