Learner Boat--Advice most appreciated

... I had a choice between Esquif Zephyr and MadRiver Outrage. I am small (5'4", 133 pd) and not great with upper body strength. The MadRiver was too big and heavy for me. I have been paddling Zephyr last season--nothing extreme, and still learning. I can balance pretty well... There was a recent ...

... and I still fell out of the boat before adding thigh straps. A strapless system may work in mainly low volume runs, but in Ottawa and Quebec type big water it does not work well, the forces in when hitting big features are just too high. TGG!

... is enough room to set the pegs so that when I straighten my feet I stay in, and to exit I flex my feet. However, in a C1, there isn't room for my big feet to straighten and flex as much. Thanks for any advice.

Repair Questions- for cracks in hull

I've got an old Mohawk Viper that has some small and big cracks that need to be repaired....I've heard G-flex is good but wondering what most people are using these days? Can I use typical figerglass resin or epoxy resin with cloth? Would rather do ...

... than your Outrage or other boats listed. I preferred the first generation for drops and punching through holes but both do well creeking and in big SE water. If you don't mind spending more energy putting in the extra strokes the boat is a blast to paddle, play and carry.

Yep, I wanna, but I just sold my big canoe and the put in date is less than 2 weeks out. Sigh. Probably won't happen. But I get an idea to ask to borrow Heavy D's Condor (his C-boats ...

... toluene, scraping, a bit of a dremel. In the end, the best was to just grind it out, as was suggested, and although it took a while and made a big mess, it did the least damage to the rubber/vinyl topsheet over the ABS. Its easy to tear off that vinyl topsheet in little bits, so now I have ...

South Eastern First Descents, Overflow, etc.

... AW posts and was wondering what Alan Singley and Allan & Robin Socemdog were paddling when they were running first descents of Overflow and Big Creek back in the day. Alan was apparently running first descents of Overflow in sections solo, with his dog on the banks of the creek (okay, whatever, ...

I think I’ve narrowed my search to either Millbrook or Blackfly in part because I live in Vermont and I could pick up a boat myself. Not ...

Harmony Terrapin C-1 sprayskirt for sale or swap (SOLD)

I have a sweet, almost perfect Terrapin sprayskirt and it seems just a little too big for my New Wave Descender. The rand is in incredible shape. I think it probably fits a bigger cockpit like the slightly more recent plastic C-1s like the Atom. Medium tube. I'll ...

How many Amoebas have been built? I tried Adam's at an armada and really liked it. It's faster that I thought it would be, but I couldn't ...
