Re: NEW GUY

Re: Drakkar Wheelboy

Thanks Rick, I've paddled the 4-twenty as a kaak and I know the cockpits pretty big, thought that being a bit wider the wheelboy would have a wider cockpit, maybe not.

Maybe you ...

Re: kneeling thwarts

It helps if you've been developing things for twenty years. This is my third seat iteration. http://www.wwslalom.net/bob/csx/seat.jpg I use clamped male and female molds to keep the weight to a minimum, but the seat could be laid up over one half. ...

Re: Octane

Keep it up man!....so these cheap bast0rds will have no excuse for keeping those twenty-two year old boats alive with plastic paint and melted leggos. :)

... boaters will have a good time poking fun at the old clunky boats of the early 21st century  and wondering how we managed to paddle them. The twenty-something year old of today will feel like a dinosaur when he tells his story to the new generation of 'Graphene Boaters'. SYOTRiver (in plastic ...

... my ice axes has lasted through three seasons so far, and they get heavily abused. I measured the thickness of the installed tape, and it's .027" (twenty seven thousandths of an inch), so it's not so thick that it will cause a problem. One wrap is all you need, overlapping each wrap by half the ...

I felt pretty small to me @ 190. I can imagine what the extra twenty pounds would do. I could put the bow and stern under just by leaning forwards and backwards.

My experience runs out in the upper twenty to thirty foot range, so I can't extrapolate further. However that said, my favorite landings are generally those angled in ones... that allow ...

Vintage Hahn C1 for Sale

I think this is a 1970-something hull. It spent a long time in a basement without use before it came to me in 1997. I got it for my then twenty-something girlfriend (now wife), who now prefers OC1 - the only decked boat she'll get in is the C2 with me. I think the layup is all fiberglass. ...
