Marc, No we didn't see any rattlesnakes on the John Day, although we did find plenty of scorpions under cow paddies. I think that happened on day two on the Clarno section. Is this enough information, or do I need to have him measure the length of the individual thwarts? Carol " Carol, I measured the thwarts from the stern down the center line. These measurements are from the tip of the stern to the center of the thwarts: 43 1/4", 66 1/4", and 114 1/2". Good Luck, Chuc...

Back in the days when I was an aggressive solo paddler, in the Flashback, I did paddle what I considered big water in it, and didn't consider it a wet boat.
