I was able to eliminate a layer of FRP in the deck by including a transverse structural layer of Carbon Fiber reinforcement.
Thus the boat is lighter than a normal layup boat but should be just as strong.
I did not change the standard hull layup.
Carbon Fiber was new and extremly rare at the time(circa 1980) and cloth was not available so I worked with the strands.
This is one of if not the first boat to use carbon fiber reinforcement.
This boat has never been paddled and has always been stored under cover.
So it is in like new condition.
I never got to paddle it but think it would be a sweet boat.
Only damage is to the seat, a rat or some critter scratched it and ate a small piece out - minicell foam. It should be easily repairable.
Or even ok as it is.
The boat includes Walls, Seat, Straps, Knee Pads, ALL minicell.
PRICE
It seems these boats, in this condition, are worth about $300 so I am asking $250.
