Mad River Kevlar Courier/Explorer
This beautiful canoe has ash gunnels and thwarts with mahogany deck plates. It measures 14' 9" x 32 1/2" and weighs approximately 45 lbs.. Its' sharp entry and semi-V hull make for excellent tracking while the rounded chines aid in manuveranability. It's at home in up to class 3 rapids or on flat water. Its' light weight makes it desirable for a quick afternoon paddle while the high volumn makes it desirable for extended trips. It is currently set up for solo paddling with a Perception saddle but could easily be converted to tandem paddling; saddle is not adhered to the hull but is held in place by the thwarts (no adhesive to clean off the hull if converted to tandem). This boat ranks a full 9 on a scale of 1-10. If you've ever wanted an excellent Kevlar canoe this one warrants a closer look and a test paddle.
