Hi all,
I'm putting feelers out for cheap or free canoes, with happy owners who want to send them to a good home with an I'm an 18 y/o college student paying his way through school. After a few seasons of borrowing boats due to lack of funds, I'm looking to buy somethin' to call my own. Let me know what you have! Ideally, I'd be able to pick it up within the next week. I'm willing to travel within 3 hours of Augusta, Maine -- that being said, I'd travel further if the deal was right! I'm taking a swiftwater rescue course on the last weekend of April and would like to be in my own OC much more than a rented duckie.....
I'm not looking for handouts, just lookin' for a deal.
I'm also in the market for an OC2 capable of doing more than just surviving class-III, but that can wait.
Thanks and happy paddling,
Sam

Be sure to check Uncle Henry's and the npmb.com- it's a bit early for a lot of boats in your price range to show up, but you might get lucky:)
Keep the C!

Thanks, Sir Adam! I've been keeping an eye on NPMB and Craigslist, but hadn't thought of checking Uncle Henry's. I usually only look there if I need a gun, a truck, or an appliance. I did buy a nice surfboard on there once, though.
