Dagger Caption OC-2 for Sale -- SOLD--

Post by epatt250 »

My wife and I purchased this new in 1997 from Take-A-Hike in LR. It has been on the Nantahala 3 times, the Spring twice, the Big Piney twice and the Current and Buffalo each once. It has only been upside down once in its life, first attempt at Nantahala falls. No damage at all other than scratches from rocks. It is THE premier whitewater tandem canoe. It also makes an excellent solo canoe for a bigger paddler or someone who wants a little more speed than the shorter boats, or carry some gear.

I am looking to get $850 for the boat FULLY outfitted.

It is setup tandem with thigh straps but no foot braces. It comes with 2 dagger 48" nylon float bags and lashing + straps. One float bag has a leak in it somewhere. It could probably be patched but it holds long enough for a run so I have never bothered with finding the leak. I just top it off at the put in and it has always lasted fine on the river. The other float bag is fine.

It has been stored under a carport its whole life that gets no direct sunlight at any time.

I have been very hesitant about listing it b/c I love the boat, but it just doesn't get much use. With my wifes schedule and mine, and rainwater only in Arkansas... combined with the fact that I bought a solo boat that I need to learn and my wife wants a butt boat, and Rosco does not like to be left at home and he doesn't have a place to sit in it.

There are a couple of scratches that are just deep enough to see gray. But the ABS looks fine. The black streaks you see are from a tight fit and unloading the dirtbike next to the canoe and the knobbies rubbing the side of the canoe. Would probably come off with some acetone or mineral spirits. The float bags could use a bleach scrubbing.

I am located in Searcy, Arkansas.

Email works best for me epatt250@yahoo.com , but you can also PM or call. 501-412-5426

Thanks for looking,
