Open Canoe Roll video recommendation?

Post by StuSummer »

Does anyone have a video on open canoe rolling that you recommend. Could I borrow or buy a used copy?

A friend gave me a copy of the Bob Foote DVD, I watched it a bunch of times and went over to the lake. I did an un-assisted roll on my third attempt. But I will add the DVD only shows rolling to your onside (half a roll). When I went to do a full roll that took a bit more time. Once I got it I practiced alot in flatwater and eddys. I've had a bunch of combat rolls since, but still blow a roll every once in awhile too. I just learned about 2 months ago.

Good luck. It takes open boating to a whole nother level.
