Atom, Gyramax, and Pyranha S:8 C1 for sale Poconos, PA
Ok so I have three boats that I'm looking to get rid of. To be honest, there was a house fire on 4/23 at my house where I used to live near East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and I simply need the money, all 4 of us are whitewater paddlers. And well, the custom skirts for my Atom and Gyramax were lost in the fire as well as everything else I own, so I couldn't even paddle those boats if I wanted to.
So I'm putting these boats up for Best Offer, they are all located near East Stroudsburg at a friends' house for viewing and pick-up, or I can bring them down to the Armada for you.
- Dagger Atom, (Purple and Black), great condition, with dagger saddle, NO SKIRT (lost in fire), used on the Grand Canyon, which I don't recommend. Asking $300.
- Gyramax (blue, plastic is in bad shape, some slight dry rotting), I still paddle this boat, but its just in crappy shape, it holds up while boating just fine and is waterproof. The saddle is drilled through the boat, with about 8 bolts, done by the previous yahoo owner. Asking $50 or just come take the boat.
- Pyranha S:8 conversion - I did this conversion, it is OK at best, the thigh straps are bolted through the hull, but the bolt point is flush with the plastic, so it doesnt catch on rocks or anything... no bulkheads, so not really suitable for anything over class III. Asking $100 or $50, a case of beer, and a good joke about why kayaking is stupid.
I will also consider trades for anything you have. I need a C1 paddle (I have been using a rafting paddle), helmet, gear bag, ski equipment, sleeping bag, c'mon whatever you have lying around, I will trade you these boats for it.

Mark,
sorry about your house. I've got a Mitchell Premier curved blade c-1 paddle, carbon shaft and blade, about 56 inches, with the fattest osage orange t-grip on the planet (made by the famous Jeff S). The glass rope edges of the blade have broken off in places, exposing the wood core, and leading to some cracks of this wood on the edges. This has probably weakened the blade a bit, but I think with some glass work this thing could still be a great paddle. It's yours for free if you want it. Located in Morgantown, WV. Can deliver to the Upper Yough on multiple occasions this summer. If anyone else asks, this paddle is not for sale.

I have a gear bag and helmet (not as stylish as the one you wear in the pics) you can have. The foam in the helmet needs reglued. Shoot me a mailing address and I'll get it out to you next week. I also have a short sleeve dry top you can have as well. I don't know if it is a med or large but my coat size is 41. I think the gaskets have one more season left in them if you are careful.

The Prelude survived the fire because I leave it on "the boat rack" in the backyard and my roomate who was home when the fire engulfed the house, escaped first, grabbed Boof the Bunny, then went to go save whatever boats were out back and not on the front porch.
Anyone is welcome to paddle the prelude whenever you want. It is in White Haven, PA area right now and I would be happy to give someone the keys to it on the Lehigh or whatever.
I never finished working on the outfitting for the prelude before the fire, but the outfitting is good enough to get me down some local class IV-V, so you should be fine.
This means you Tommy, you want to borrow it, anytime brother.

Thanks for the offer on the skirt for the Atom!
I would like to keep the Atom, but would be happy to part with it for the money. Unfortunately downsizing my boat collection seems to make the most sense, because I also lost all my tele skis, tele boots, and winter equipment of all varieties. So I would like to get some cash to start trying to replace some skis, camping and winter gear.
But its good know there's a skirt out there for my Atom, so any buyer should keep that in mind. Just tack on $50 plus shipping costs.
