Thanks for the heads up! I took a long look at that one, and researched the model, but decided not to inquire about it.

Thanks!

The Raleigh and Jax boats were outside my search radius, but I've emailed about them

Still looking! Something 16-17', with @ 2" rocker, Royalex, would be ideal.

I have a cheap XL-15, newly outfitted (new pedestals, wooden thwarts, bag lacing)...if you want it...

I am in WV, traveling through NC next week.

Very tempting! But I'm looking for less a purpose built WW boat than a friends/family/fishing/camping tandem boat that can handle up to mild class III when called upon. Rivers like the Broad, Chattahoochee, Ocmulgee, French Broad, Flint, Little TN, etc. I want the cargo capability plus the tracking of a longer, less rockered boat than the XL-15...but still tempting.

Cool. Yeah, this one is outfitted for whitewater, I have been taking it down the Lower Yough and New. Good luck!

An option...

Post by Al Donaldson »

Rob:

Consider a new Arkota from Two Brothers:

http://www.twobrotherscanoe.com/products.html

They're over in Garfield, AR, but I'm sure that some of the good folks at ACC could help with transportation.

I have two of the Arkotas, and have found no better tandem canoe for moving water/ light whitewater use. Set up correctly, they also work well for solo work.

At a brand new price of $900, these are well worth the dollars, and "The Brothers" will set the boat up the way you want.

Regards,

al
