From a Paddle Trails Canoe Club website:
For sale: (new) Dagger Dimension tandem whitewater canoe. Last fall, a tandem pair from the LCCC paddled the Grand Canyon in a Dagger Dimension. They had no swims. The canoe is no longer in production. It is 16 feet long and has significant rocker. Blue hull with wood gunwales. Neither outfitted nor paddled. Stored since purchased in my garage. As new.
In 2002, when Dagger brought the Dimension back into production for a year, Dagger’s web page stated: “The legendary tandem river-runner returns. Excellent big-water performer or introduction to tandem whitewater canoeing. Deep, symmetrical hull with flared ends for a dry ride. Excellent hull speed in a hard-tracking design. Limited production for 2002 only. Don’t miss your chance.”
According to Dagger’s web page , the lightweight wood gunwales reduce the weight of the canoe from the standard (i.e., vinyl gunwales) 70 pounds down to 64 pounds. (This particular web page is no longer on Dagger's site, but I have a printed copy that I can show you). Asking $1,500. The canoe is in Portland (Oregon, not Maine!).
