cheap boats (1 good, 2 busted)

Any Boat, Gear, or outdoor related item you have for sale. If you use it on a paddling trip, or to prepare for one, it's fair game.

cheap boats (1 good, 2 busted)

Post by JFD »

I have some boats that i need to get out of my garage, located in Morgantown, WV
jackditty@mac.com

Dagger Nomad 8.1 C-1, green, about 1 year old. $450. Saddle not included. I paddle it with a Dagger C-1 pedestal, so it should be pretty easy to outfit if you have one of these.

Dagger Nomad 8.5 (with all the kayak parts, but gutted and ready to outfit as a c-boat.) red. This boat has a crack in the hull that I've patched, and a hole in the deck that is also patched (where the serial number used to be). The patches are actually pretty good and it is completely dry even after a long day on the water. They will wear out after a while and need to be replaced. Willing to accept a trade or whatever you want, just take it off my hands.

Perception Java (gutted, with kayak parts), hole in bottom. This boat is free. Just come and get it. It is a great C-1, equivalent to the Blunt. If you spend some time making a good patch, it would be a fun boat to try out.

Boats

Hi Jack,

The 8.5 sounds like it might be a good project for Pat in CA, if he can get a shuttle. (especially in terms of price) If no one else is dying to get this, I'd like to give it a whirl How much for the boat without any trades?

Hey Bill,
if you come pick it up or arrange shipping, i'll accept some token trade like a 6-pack or something. it doesn't include a saddle though, just the kayak parts.

I'll work out a case of some good beers mix and matched and drive up to get it- hopefully around 4/23 if that works for you.

Bill, are you making it a habit of buying boats for beer? Will you sell them for beer, too? How much for a Wheelboy?

Wheelboy

I couldnt drink enough beer for a wheelboy, but a couple kegs of makers mark would do, and problably last a while too :)

Are you paddling this weekend?

Bill -

I'm going to do my best to get out at least one afternoon - in all likelihood that will be on the Saluda. We've been having good water lately, much higher than what you saw on quite a few occasions.

Bill, I assume you meant me, Pat in BC (not CA)... And yes, I'd be thrilled if somebody in this region would cough up a decent hull for a case of beer, but this was way too long a drive!!

If you know anything about shipping, maybe you can get it to me for cheap once you've tuned up the patch and got it all outfitted!!
