Looking for Gyramax

Any Boat, Gear, or outdoor related item you have for sale. If you use it on a paddling trip, or to prepare for one, it's fair game.

Looking for Gyramax

Post by JFD »

Anyone have an old Gyramax for sale? I need one for the Upper Yough race next week. willing to buy or trade a nomad 8.1 shell in good condition (no saddle).

I also have several cracked boats to give away, if anyone wants to try the design before buying one in better shape:
necky blunt with 4inch crack in center of hull.
necky crux prototype with crack above waterline in stern deck seam.
both boats work fine if you take the time to put on a decent patch. I paddled the blunt for 14 days straight in california with a foam and aquaseal patch and it stayed dry the entire trip.

Jay, sorry this is off-topic...
To bad I did not run into you guys. We were in Cali around the same time
when you guys where there. It rained a lot. We got to paddle on the Yuba
(Pauley, NF, SF) but missed some stuff like Canyon.

The MF Feather seemed super high when we were there plus
we had only one car. Did you guys get to run the MF?

Cheers, Jan
Is there something like an expert kayaker?

calif

Post by JFD »

Hey Bill, thanks for the link. i think that boat may have already sold though.

Jan,
sorry we didn't meet up in calif. what a great trip though! water was huge everywhere. we did a 3 day trip on deer creek rather than the middle fork (it was 6,000 cfs on the expected put-in day), and we ran some high water stuff in the american drainage, pauley, yuba, and feather. the highlights were SF yuba (49 to bridgeport), and Ben and Jerry's gorge at high water (the far western drainage of the feather). can't wait to go again next year. maybe see you then.

I have a friend with one he would like to part with. I will ask him about what he wants for it.

He also has some other boats he no longer uses.
