Matt-

If you're looking for an Encore, I have one I would like to get rid of.

It needs a saddle and thigh straps, and there are some cracks in front of the saddle that probably should be repaired, but the rest of the hull is in great shape.

email me if you're interested: cwviani@optonline.net.

Price is very negotiable...

Bill M,
Thanks but Tennesee is a bit further than 4 hours from Boston.
I like to put my hands on a boat before I buy it.

Rod,
I sent you an email.

I sent one to Nessmuk, too, and pm'ed Rod. Geez Tommy, if it all worked out, you, me and Aaron could be like clones for a NB run

Say when Matt.
If I don't have the Encore I'll just beat my Outrage till it shatters.

NB

Gotta get Aaron a smaller boat for NB I think. That Whitesell's pretty big, although he still outmaneuvers me. Kids these days, sheesh  . Haven't heard from Rod or Ness, hope I didn't offend Ness with my bite on his "very negotiable." :o Aarons allowance money is buying his next canoe (going for the sympathy now  )

Well I bought Rod's Encore. Sorry Matt.
It's a pretty cool design. Amazingly dry. Too bad they don't make them any more.

I'd still be interested in an Outrage X if anybody has one for sale.
Like I said before, within four hours of Boston.

It's okay

No problem, Tommy. Nessmuks is a bit far away for me right now(20 minutes away from the Good Friday paddle I cancelled due to distance, talk about irony.) He's going to hopefully meet up with me on a Deerfield trip (his not mine, but I can meet in NW Ct. or NY) in May. Give Aaron a chance to save up some more allowance for outfitting. Don't even know why we're getting Aaron a smaller boat, he's spinning his Whitesell in perfect 360's now in moving water. That Encore is a sweet boat though, and built tough. Felt like I was living in mine this weekend

Hmmm, amazingly dry....guess I'll have to get ya' on the Shepaug at 3 or 4' (peters dam gage) some time. Even the spiders are wearing drysuits

I'm still hoping to find an Outrage X somewhere in the New England New York area.

Thanks,

I have had both and like the Encore much better than the Ourage X. MR should have kept the proprtions of the original Outrage when they made the bigger X. The outrage is a great boat. The X isn't. It doesn't surf, spin, roll as well and is a wetter boat. All Mr did was add length to the middle, no increase in rocker. It is a pretty fast boat though. My big gripe with the Encore is it is heavy. It is the best of the boats in the 13 foot range in my opinion. If I still had my X i would most likely trade it and 100.00 for a good Encore.

You Know the more I paddle this Encore the more I like it. Sure does like to surf :-)
But I thought the Outrage X paddled an awful lot like my Outrage and I do miss the speed.
Been wondering though after I've paddled both for a while which I'll like better.
Still Looking...
