Couple of boats for sale

Post by aargh »

Aargh!!

Well mateys, I've got a couple of redundant boats.

Dagger GT 3.8, black, C1 conversion, good shape, well used, $300 obo; nice creek boat, comfortable and roomy

Zealot, race layup, I believe this is the 2nd Zealot made by Andy Bridge when he went to Dagger Composites. Bought in 1996 from THE MAN himself, Jon Lugbill, the stumps of his thwart are preserved in the boat. Carbon, very stiff layup, couple of leaks/cracks need to be patched. I love the boat but I've enjoyed it for long enough, time for a new home. It's got a couple of dramatic patches across the rear deck where Jon (presumably) cut it to give it more rocker. $300 obo.

For pics (assuming I can get my digital camera working) or info email me at rroth@radford.edu

I still have the first-out-of-the-mold, unmodified, high rocker Zealot. I was glad to get to see your #2 boat when you had it at the Nanty. Together, the boats showed Lugbill and Clawson that there is such a thing as too much rocker in a race boat.

rocker

right. did I say more rocker? I meant less rocker. Anyway it was a rocker adjustment accomplished by cutting across the back deck.
