Slalom C1 Mold for sale

Post by Sir Adam »

Stealth by Hearn / Lugbill. Between Fanatic and F2 I believe, designed for 1992 Olympics. I picked up the mold from Eric Zitzow years ago meaning to use it to make a boat to cut down for a squirt boat, but end up going in a different direction (maven, and Mentor from scratch).

As I have a few molds these days I'm never likely to build one, and I'd love to see it get some use. I've never unbolted it from when I purchased it (2002 or so), but it has been stored on it's side in a dry barn all this time.

Asking $200, partial or full trades considered.

Adam,
Do you still have the mold?
Recently I've caught the slalom bug after outffing several slalom boats and taking a slalom clinic in Aug.
I picked up a used older boat and am interested in making one.
A couple of questions.
What's was it designed for?(Slalom,squirt)
What kind of ideal max paddlers weight?
Let me know
John

Slalom design, for the olympics / worlds / etc...

Info I have to date on the design:

Designed for the tight turns at the '92 Olympics

One of the lower volume slalom designs

When you build a boat you an add or subtract volume, depending on the cut you want. That said, I'd think over 210 lbs or so you'd be pushing it a bit in big water (I know a few folks 180lbs +- that still paddle their old race Stealths).

Well I'm about 205 ish. I'm honestly looking to make one for myself and mess around with making one. If we can make some arrangemnets I will take it off of your hands.
Do have any pics of the mold or of any boats it can produce? Just curious.
Let me know.
