Blue Hole model MGB. The serial number is honest to God 0005. It has Mahogany gunnels, deck plates, thwarts, etc. Its 17' 5" (From tip of bow to tip of stern).
The wood work was done by Merrimack canoes, and is unreal. Solid Mahogany. Obvious Merrimack seats. Last week I spoke to the head of Merrimack Canoes in Fl (their factory is in Crossville, TN. Ie Blue Holes built in TN too), and he confirmed they did the woodwork for Blue Holes of this era.
It has been paddled 4 times, hung indoors for the last 26 years, and purchased from the Blue Hole factory new (not by me, but the previous owner).
Its as near mint as a canoe this age could be. Honestly I hate the thought of putting a scratch on this thing which is the only reason I even think of selling it.
Middle TN area. Price: $2,500.00. See pics below
