For Sale FAQ...

Any Boat, Gear, or outdoor related item you have for sale. If you use it on a paddling trip, or to prepare for one, it's fair game.

For Sale FAQ...

Post by Sir Adam »

As we've had a few questions lately, and some of them are the same ones that have been around a while, a few things to be aware of:
1) Any paddling related gear can be put up for sale on this public board - flat water, whitewater, boats, paddles, PFD's, etc... etc....
2) Please note in your ad the following:
-Where the item is located
-How much you are asking
-Whether you are willing to ship or local pickup only
-Though not required images make it MUCH easier to sell an item - and now that you can host the images here it is a lot easier.
-How you wish to be contacted (PM through the board? e-mail via the board? e-mail outside of the board? phone?
3) When you sell the item please post that it has been sold.

If you are selling it it is assumed it is rightfully yours. We've never had a problem to my knowledge in this regard, but we've received a comment / question on it.

If you are a commercial outfitter we have no problem with ONE post letting us all know about a new product - that's more awareness than advertising. But if you are going to sell a lot through the board (which is meant for private folks mostly, but realistically we're a small group of only 3000 or 4000 folks who check the site out on an annual basis) you will need to help support the site (banner ads at the top).

And if you ARE looking for gear, or missed out on something, please consider purchasing from the great companies that support this site - though most don't post here, I know that for many of them their staff members (CBoaters) do check the site daily and are in integral part of our community.
