wtb Mad River ME

Any Boat, Gear, or outdoor related item you have for sale. If you use it on a paddling trip, or to prepare for one, it's fair game.

wtb Mad River ME

Post by zappaddles »

Looking for an ME. Anyone hear of one within 200 or so miles of north metro Atlanta please let me know. Hull needs to be decent but don't care about the condition of anything else.
My hearts desire is a Millbrok ME. So, anyone knowing the whereabouts of one for sale will forever have my warmest regards. Don't mind paying for a new one but waiting for one to be built, shipping $$ and logistics sort of keep me from pulling the trigger on one.
Thanks,
Zap

I don't know if it is still there, but the folks at Endless River Adventures on the Nantahala had one for sale. The hull was in pretty good shape. Worth a call.

I ordered a Millbrook, and it was delivered to Atlanta less than a month after Kaz got the money. I only had to drive to a local shipper, pull the bubble wrap off the boat, and tie it on my rack. Shipping cost was very reasonable. Kaz has those things worked out.

If you're looking for MEs, you might also watch for a Synergy like mine. Also a narrow, fast hull that makes a good solo cruiser as well as a tandem. There aren't many Synergies around, but their Royalex is excellent, and of course it is not as old and potentially brittle as what you'll get with an ME.
