Re: FS: G-Power wildwater paddle
Nice paddle, but why is it so short? Jon Lugbill and Davey Hearn are kinda short guys, but used ~59" paddles. Did it need to be that short for wildwater? Lengthening a paddle by more than an inch or so is a doubtful enterprise.
Re: FS: G-Power wildwater paddle
with a t-grip it's around 55 inches. I removed the original to use for another paddle. Most of my paddles have been 56-57 inches for recreational paddling and other types of racing. For wild water racing I like something a little shorter because of the much faster stroke rate (very different than slalom paddling), especially in sprint competition. Maybe not for everybody, but that's my take on it. I really don't expect this paddle to sell anyway, not a huge audience for used wild water c-1 gear! Just thought I'd put it up here since it's taking up space in my garage and I'm not racing much anymore.
Re: FS: G-Power wildwater paddle
Without having used this particular paddle, I will say that in my experience the wildwater blade shape makes a perfectly good slalom paddle for a lighter or physically weaker paddler (small women, kids) and also makes a pretty good play paddle, especially for a pure rodeo boat. And for rodeo, short can be good. Someone's going to get a great deal on this one....edg
