Millbrook Hornet, Valley Mill Magnet, New Wave Acrobat for sale

Post by wildwaterc2 »

All fun boats I’ve enjoyed but not getting enough use
and time to pass on.

Millbrook Hornet is in excellent condition. The fastest cruising c1 I’ve ever paddled - as fast as my Fanatic. Would be a great c1 race boat like for the Gauley Animal or for cruising. $600

Valley Mill Magnet is worn but ok condition. A great all around cruising hull. Comfortable and predictable. $200

New Wave Acrobat has wear but is in quite good condition - could use a resin touch up on the seams. This is a super cool boat but just takes too tight a kneel for me anymore. $250.

All are in Roanoke VA. There are pictures
of the Magnet and Hornet in a prior post by me on cboats.net

I’ll get some pictures of all 3 posted. Email
is the best way to reach me.

Hey, I know that Acrobat. I think I modified the cockpit when I had it.

May be interested in the lower volume Millbrook. What is the layup like? Is it a heavy boat?

Thanks

Aargh, yes, the Acrobat came from you. I had a lot of fun it it for about 5 years or so I think.

The Millbrook is a Hornet. I don't know what the layup is but it is not heavy - it weighs about the same as my River Elf Storm Chaser. Vann Evans had it built by Kaz and I think it is the standard Millbrook layup. It has great glide for a cruising C1.

The Magnet is a nice paddling boat also - different, but more mellow overall and more comfy with the flatter bottom. Not as fast as the Hornet for sure.

You are welcome to try either of them out.

Thanks, I think I will pass, what I'm really looking for is a 3.5 meter race layup slalom boat.

Cheers

Aargh!
