How do people dispose of composite hulls? I have a 75 pound, 18.5 hull with no gunwales that I need to get rid of. :o

Composite (assuming we mean resin matrix with some kind of fibre reinforcement) isn't very recyclable. most people just sell old composite boats on, there is always someone starting out who can make use of a boat no matter how outdated it is or how much restoration is needed.... Alternatively there are always mugs...

art? f@#$ art. two 17 mile runs down the dead river this weekend. first run was a beater at 3500cfs with roofing tar keeping out the water from below. it did not last. finished that run with one of my pumps running all the way into town trying to keep up. it wore down the voltage to the lowest ever. at camp i used some super sticky construction tape for sealing out ice dams and good old gorrilla tape, recharged the battery and had a few brews. my second run was flawless at 2400cfs and it was the driest my canoe has been in a couple weeks. so keep some tape in your kit if you beat your boat.

Brother, Unless you are a giant, you should be able to carve away plenty for a good fit. I'm a short 220 and barely had to cut away anything. Less is more.-M- :D
