That's going to be a tippy ride and it doesn't look terribly comfortable at this point. Somewhere around here there should be pictures posted once upon a time by a guy who posted as SpaceCanoe who took a not quite big enough boat (a Dagger Medieval?) and with a combination of heat and pressure (hot water, jacks, lumber?) he enlarged the cockpit. If you don't have the option of looking for a bigger boat, you might take that tack.

It will be a lot easier to deal with a tippy boat if you are comfy. Learning to paddle a tippy boat can make you a better paddler and, if nothing else, make your open boat feel massively stable when you hop back into it.

Unless it's just going to be a pool session boat I think it's safe to say you chose the wrong hull. The trim's going to be awful and you're going to have stability issues.

You need a wide boat (26" or more) and a cockpit large enough to get far enough forward for proper trim.

I've got a pristine H3 hull I'll trade you if you haven't drilled too many holes in that thing yet.

wow. if it's a 255 that's a great hull to convert.

HH-you would fit MUCH better in the h3. the cockpit is higher and wider for yer legs to fit under..

Did you fixed up that broken paddle? a 60"er will be a lil tall for this boat.
