I've been trying to track down more info on the C1 Nancy is selling:
http://www.cboats.net/cforum/viewtopic.php?t=7964522
No, not the Cascade, the "Gorilla Grip".
Does anyone recall seeing the boat, or knowing anything about it? I'm trying to determine what it is, who designed it (or cut it down?) and if it is a one-off or needs to be added to the museum... virtual as well as real perhaps.
Thank you!
Can anyone identify this C1? From the '90s?

Gorrilla Grips were a brand of paddle (the first with carbon-kevlar shafts and nylon blades to make it over here), which claimed to be unbreakable and were immensely popular in the 90's; those stickers appear to be from from the paddle brand, sponsorship maybe?)
As it's a P&H boat, emailing the folks at Pyranha might reveal something useful about it.

I sent A.B. a message... trying to nail the right info down.
Funny thing is... half the names in the article and results are spelled wrong.

Boat identified!
I am pretty sure that I know what this is, and have one in the UK.
It looks the same as the boat on the left in this picture;
The information that we have is that it was designed for the 93 Worlds, paddled by a Brit called Steve Block. The one that we have is thought to be the one that was raced in.
We have paddled it extensively, including lots of alpine rivers - ours is still going strong, but is in the UK and too heavy/long to bring over to Canada.
Thanks Gwyn

Re: Boat identified!
Aha, Steve used to work for Pyranha (he was one of the people who re-tooled the prelude mould after they got it from endless river); as part of valley he designed the Meltdown [with Jason Buxton; who is largely but not entirely responsible for the Big Dog OC1's (including those which are competing in this years worlds)].Gwyn wrote:The information that we have is that it was designed for the 93 Worlds, paddled by a Brit called Steve Block. If anyone is really interested, Contacting Big Dog and asking for Steve will most probably yield results (following my rather vague "I have a 20 ish year old valley squirtboat, can you confirm that it's CSM and polyester with a diolen inner" query, and the information that illicited I'm willing to bet that you'll get plenty of answers).
In other news, I use too many parentheses.
