Dagger Mamba-C-1
Anyone paddled a Mamba converted to a C-1? Any thoughts?
Re: Dagger Mamba-C-1
Not me, but some C-1 mamba footy.

I'm a part time C-boater, but use the new large mamba as my K-1 creekboat (class IV-V) and think that it would rock as a C-1. Really wide and stable, fast planing hull, and really loves to stay on the surface. I say go for it, that boat really knows how to hold a line and doesn't get knocked around in heavy water like the shiva or stomper. It's not a boat for everyone, but I think it's a superior boat. It's not as easy to turn on a dime like the continuous rocker boats, but that boat really excels in pushy creeks and bigwater.
It has an edge but the edge doesn't extend all the way to the stern of the boat making it less likely to trip you up in convergence zones and boils. It has upped my creeking game significantly and given me more paddling confidence in squirrely rapids. It would not be a good ELF boaters boat, this baby wants water under her not rocks.
