cold outside

Post by hazardharry »

its march and -7 degrees around here. last winter all but 2 weekends we were able to paddle. its not the cold its the ice up on my gear that is the danger. i have to keep all me ropes in a drybag if i intend on using them. new years day we ran at 14 degrees and everything was iced over. the throw bag was solid and frozen in place. to get out of our pfd we had to go to the local church kitchen the thaw out. can't wait till its 40 degrees so we can paddle and play without 30 pounds of ice on us. won't make it to ALF but hope to see some of you at ARF.

You have my greatest sympathies. Here's what we were doing last weekend in the great state of Oregon: http://youtu.be/O_f5U_mobdg. I'm headed out today for a run of the Wilson River (just north of the Trask).

Go west, young man. Go west!

(Great video, as usual, MM! Love to see tandem boats!)
