EZG 60 Conversion Thoughts?

Post by hammerhead »

Any experience with or thoughts on converting a EZG 60 to C-1? I'm 200#, 6ft. Looking to use it as a playboat, primarily & river run, secondarily. Converted a creeker with good results & a playboat with less than stellar results(my 1st convert). I'm a little concerned about the width(I found it to be 25.75") and maybe cockpit size(?). I will have a chance to look, sit and paddle set up as kayak soon. Also considering a Jackson Superstar. Peace...

The EZ was a great conversation. I don't know about the EZG 60.

Bump... One more shot before I either take the plunge or cross it off my list.

Sorry - just saw this.
I'm your size, and the EZG-60 is a great C1. It's small enough to really throw around, yet large enough to be a decent river runner. I've had much better luck with it for bow stalls than stern squirts, but that's me, not the boat - although I will say that old school slicey boats are a little better for both.
It's one of my favorite boats!
