I am very new to WW canoeing, my experience so far being 1 tandem trip front seat down the hiwassee, in the boat i'll be paddling solo next year. (a 14' Mohawk salom oc1)
This is totally new to me, so I need basics first. Thanks!

Take a solo course at NOC or at any other provider of suitable training.

I was taught by Juanita Guinn from Lansing, Tennessee in the '80's. She did a four day class for my grand daughters this Summer. In my opinion, she wrote the book on technique, river reading, and finesse.

She and her husband owned Blue Hole and later Dagger.
