For small jobs, I'm experimenting with 3M Super Strength Adhesive. Comes in a tube, looks and smells like Dupont's old DUCO cement, but sets much, much stronger. Waterproof, 10 minute work time, but my observations indicate it takes more than a day to reach full strength. Tough, not brittle, when cured. I don't have an impression yet of its ability to adhere to "difficult" materials.
