Hoosic River (NY) Release - April 22, 2017

American Whitewater has been able to secure a release from Schaghticoke Dam for the Hoosic River (NY). The release will be April 22 from 1pm to 4pm. We need a good turnout to ensure the releases continue; with a big enough turnout we may be able to get multiple releases next year.

The Upper Gorge at Schaghticoke is Class V. However, there is a lower put-in (Big Eddy) that begins a Class III section and below this the river is class I/II down to the Hudson River. See http://www.americanwhitewater.org/conte ... il/id/1320" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've never been on the river, but I expect to be there for the release. I'm hoping to run from Big Eddy down to the Hudson.
