Looking to purchase 1st OC1 - i'm 5'4". ~140 lbs. Paddled an Ocoee for a few days last year at MKC. Based on what's available used in my area (Toronto), i'm looking at an Esquif Spark or Novacraft Ocoee. I liked the Ocoee and had a blast in it, wondering if the Spark may be a better fit, though? Any feedback appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Spark vs. Ocoee
I think this boils down to more paddling style than paddler size. The Spark cab forward design demands continuous paddle from the front. It really dislikes stern corrections. The Ocoee is much more forgiving to us old school Bob Foote types.

Re: Spark vs. Ocoee
FWIW, I paddled both and enjoyed both. If you slalom race at all, you'll favor the Spark but won't be outclassed in an Ocoee. The Ocoee is perhaps more versatile - people creek and playboat in them. I wouldn't turn either down...
