prepare to be amazed or p.o.'d

Finally, I've registered and got logged on. And yins thought you was free.
Lookin at the calendar today, I see a week remains until the Armada, so i thought i'd give everyone a heads up that the Longboat posse will be rollin into the NorthBranch in full force, bentshafts and all. The plan is just chillin' and cruisin', maybe tearin it up a bit, but we'll be leavin the real boatin for the Yough on Sunday, hope yins all can make it up to our home turf for some serious cruisin. Yeeah, boieee. We're gonna show ya howz its done, better be wearin goggles sos yer eyes don't pop out. Easy

Hmm, a few reads, no replies. I see alot of talk on the forums regarding the newest of the new etc. Well the posse gonna be sportin' the latest in hybrid hydrogen flotation technology. Yeah, we got some ties to NASA n' nat. Top secret...if ya git ma drift. Oh, that and da skills, beotch. So prepare fellow C's, for the Longboat posse, sponsored by the Lord Chesterfield himself, the Champagne of boaters r' in da house.

Hydrogen floatation? I hope that works out better for you than my forays into helium floatation...

Hmm.... hydrogen floatation :o :o ...
Hope there are no smokers around though, that might deal a big blow to the art of longboatin 8) ...

Well, beins that the posse is takin it back to Native American basics, we do find the occasion to communicate through smoke signals, so we've engineered up some fully flame retardant hydrogen bladders, and they're dam near invisible to all but the trained eye. Also in the works is a jet-ski propulsion system, but thats still in the early stages and won't be seen on a river near anyone for some time.

trip report

Post by Longboatin »

Beautiful weather both Saturday on the NB and Sunday on the Yough, where were all the C-boaters on the Yough by the way?
Anyway, KNeal didn't C us, which I find difficult to believe, but i know many others did, so come on folks, give the posse some impressions. A guy did ask us if we are starting a new sport, yeah dude, paddling a canoe, with 20 year old equipment, real new (apply dope slap here).

You were there and didn't even say hi?! :o Oh, well. It really was a great day. You know, "Longboatin", we ended up surfin' the same waves at those ledges. Too bad we didn't take the time to chat.

I thought that was your pod surf'n the ledges! We sat out next to you on the littler wave (river left) and enjoyed the show (we were the red C2). 8)
Oh and my boy suggests you paint one of those shark faces on the bow to really give the up stream boaters a view!
Latter gave you a salute as you drained and then wave at railroad. Sorry we didn't stop and chat but there was a lot going on!
We were on the LY on Sunday but in a Shredder - put on 12:30ish. No other Cs showed but we had fun none the less. Just did the loop but had a whole lot of surfing going on..... at least for rubber!
Next time we CU we'll just pull over and chat! Paul C.
