source for grunch pads

Post by chuckneese »

I recently purchased a "new to me" OC1 and need to put grunch pads on it. Any suggestions on where to get the materials and what to use?

river sports

River Sports in Knoxville used to have them for about $65, 865-523-0066. I think that they are made by Dagger/Harmony companies.

here is a link for grunch pads/ skid plates,

http://boc123.com/store/BOC_store.cfm?ItemId=15805.

they also work GREAT for repairs to royalex. Had a light bulb burn a hole all the way through my Dagger Impulse, put the kevlar pad on both sides and the epoxy set up just fine, no leaks at all....not the prettiest patch but it worked.

You can buy them or make your own but first

make sure you need them.

I think it is a mistake to put them on to prevent rather then to repair. They hurt performance and why give that up before you need to. I have done this and have been sorry. Chris Kelly
