Washington Post canoe trip article

Thought you all might enjoy this - as Seth's brothers Sean and Ocoee are quoted in it. Sean is an open boater sometimes - he did well at Nationals last year as a Cadet....but he also kayaks - though he barely fit in his T-3 yesterday on the Cheat Canyon - He may just have to take up C-boating.

Ocoee still has lots of time to decide.

If we make the Armada it will be on Sunday - as Seth's oldest sister Heather is getting married on June 3.

Enjoy the Armada if we don't catch up with you all.

I first met the paddling Chapelles at the C Boat Concordia ( 1999) and was saw Sheila paddling bow in a C-2- on the feeder canal. Seth was already tearing things up in his boat. This was my first exposure to a C-boat gathering and I was blown away by all of the different boats and styles of paddling. Given the fact the Ocoee was a few months away from being norn, perhaps the boat would have been better classed as a C-2.5!

The Armada will certainly be missing something without the Chapelle presence this year.
