Mike,

When does Dominion typically come off the fish spawning generation mode on the Roanoke?

The water looks a bit high for playing / surfing at the falls... The pool drop is up which probably washes out the wave at the bottom...

Everything is drying up around here and there are no good river/creek runs available w/o getting us a good bit more rain...

They are supposed to stay in 'fish spawning mode' through the middle of June.

Right now the wave is not there. There is a surfable wave at the bottom of the dumpster if you're in a short boat. The rides are short, but pretty dynamic. The side-ways wave at the top is there & there are two surfable waves below the top ledge. One is good for side-surfing, but don't flip upstream 'cause it's shallow. The other is a real fast front- surfing wave.

Are y'all going to the Armada?

I can not make it and will have to plan to attend next year. That north branch run looks like a boatful of action... This old man needs to be relatively close to home... My daughter is due 6/10 to have our 1st grandchild and don't think I should be pushing it. If I'm not there for that I would be absolutely disowned by her and the wife... I will check w/ some of the other guys to see if they are interested and let you know.

Thanks for the info on the falls. Scott
