Thinking about buying a Skeeter for low water mank

Post by AJ »

I have found a Skeeter that has a good condition hull for $270.00. I have never paddled one, but have read other posts. From what I read in comparison to my Ocoee, this might be a good boat to paddle low water manky stuff?

The outfitting needs work, but for $270 bones, maybe I should take the chance that I might like it? If i don't i could probably turn around and sell it.

Any thoughts?

The Skeeter is very stable (secondary), easy to paddle and very easy to roll. In many ways it behaves similar to your Ocoee. It is slower and it is NOT dry. On slides, I invariably burried the bow at the bottom and had to paddle the rest of what was left full of water. Jack
