You should be able to both Edit your post and click on the "X" in the upper right hand corner of your post to delete it (only you or a moderator can do that-you have control over just your posts)
That said, feel free to leave it up there but put a "boat is sold" post at the end. That way any info regarding the boat that has come out along the way is still accessible to those searching for info....
