Has anybody converted a PS composites Demon. If so how does it work as a C-1. Its is 11'2'' long 24'' wide with a flat bottom. Jim

Demons and such..

It might be a bit twitchy at that width but the real issue will be getting the knees out wide enough. It has shades of the Maven in it based on the more rounded cockpit (if my memory is correct on the earlier designs) in the front. If you go for it you might have to rework that area but it has possibilities. Is the price right and do you have the time to deal with glass would be the question(s). Keep us posted if you go for it! Demon

Scott, I would love to get a Viper, just can't spring the dough right now. The Demon is really cheap and in great condition, although if I can get a hold of it, it will be for my girlfriend to use as a kayak. But if she ends up not liking it, it's conversion time!!

I'll second PAC's comments...with a flat bottom and 24" width, you will be in for an *interesting* ride.

Getting the knees out will be mandatory methinks.

If I were you I'd hold out for an old slalom boat to cut down if you want a squirt boat...same amount of work, likely a better result.

Or just watch for the flood of used Acrobats in a few months;)
